Privacy Policy

Effective July 19, 2026. Applies to G522.org and the G522 mobile app.

G522 exists to help people know God and love people. Your trust matters to us, and our founding principle applies here first: people are not products. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not show you advertising.

What we collect

When you join the movement on G522.org, we collect what you choose to give us: your name, email address, city, state, country, and optionally a phone number. When you use the G522 app, we collect your account email, your profile details (such as display name, language, and prayer focus), and the content you create, such as prayer requests and encouragements. When you talk with Emmaus, our AI companion, your conversations are stored so the companion can serve you well and so our team can review for safety. If you provide a phone number, it may be verified by a one-time text code. If a church submits a listing to our church directory, the listing (church name, address, denomination, statement of faith, and contact phone) is published publicly by design so seekers can find that church. Content published on Lumina is public.

How we use it

We use your information only to run G522: to send you the welcome and updates you asked for, to operate the app and the Prayer Wall, to let Emmaus walk with you, to keep the community safe through moderation, and to improve the service. That is the whole list.

Who helps us run G522

Like nearly every modern service, we rely on a small set of trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database and accounts), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (the AI that powers Emmaus), Twilio (text message verification and, if you opt in, text updates), and Stripe (payment processing for those who choose to give; G522 never sees or stores card details). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not share your information with anyone else except when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

Emmaus and AI

Emmaus is an artificial intelligence companion. It is not God, not the Holy Spirit, and not a pastor, counselor, doctor, or emergency service. Conversations with Emmaus are processed by our AI provider to generate responses and are stored with your account. If a conversation suggests a risk of harm, it may be reviewed by our team so we can respond with care.

Moderation and safety

Content on the Prayer Wall can be reported by users and reviewed by our moderators, who may hide or remove content and restrict accounts that break our community guidelines. This protects everyone, especially the vulnerable.

Text messages

If you share a phone number, we use it for one verification code and nothing else unless you separately opt in to receive G522 updates by text. You can stop updates at any time by replying STOP or writing to us. Phone numbers are never shared or sold, and are never used for advertising.

Giving

If you choose to give financially, payments are handled by Stripe on its secure systems. We receive confirmation of the gift, never your card number.

Children

G522.org and the G522 app are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information while you have an account or remain on our list, and as needed for safety and legal obligations. You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete your information, or to unsubscribe from emails. Write to us at info@g522.org and we will act promptly.

Security

We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the seriousness it deserves.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be announced to the community.
